St. Athanasius and Boethius are the subject of this week’s podcast.

St. Athanasius was one of the Roman Catholic’s founding fathers insomuch that he was an influential part of the first Council in Nicea that laid down a lot of the initial rules that the Church was putting into place. One of Athanasius’ main fights was with the Arians who believed that Jesus was only in existence after he was born to Mary.

Boethius, was similarly influential as Athanasius and held many of the same beliefs as him. He took up many of the same fight as he did and was similarly persecuted.
